On the 6th of June, Dream Holi colour festival will be held in Tallinn Song Festival Grounds.
What is Holi?
It’s a spring festival also known as festival of colours, and sometimes festival of love. In is an ancient Hindu religious festival which has become popular with non-Hindus in many parts of South Asia, as well as people of other communities. The special feature is that the people paint themselves with various colours and throw colourful powder in the air to express the freedom and to colour their everyday life. The most important thing is that on this day all castes of the Indian caste-system are nullified and put out of force. On this day of celebration all people are supposed to be equal! This is where the idea to bring this festival to the rest of the world comes from. This cheerful festival which makes a long-lasting impression on visitors and those who will read or hear about it. This event has the power to promote equality, foster tolerance and bring people closer together.
