FIRST LEGO League finals

The young technology enthusiasts and future engineers and researchers will meet at FIRST LEGO League 2016 Estonia Finals to celebrate science and have lots of fun and great time. The event will take place from 12th to 13th of March in Tallinn Song Festival Grounds.
37 teams from Estonia, Latvia, Moldova, Sweden, and Ukraine will participate in the most challenging and exciting competition in the field of science and robotics, displaying the discoveries and results they have reached through tenacious work and dedication.

FIRST LEGO League is the world’s largest competition introducing young people to Engineering, Robotics and Technology, organized for elementary and middle school students (ages 9–16). Its purpose is to raise the young people's interest towards Science, Technology, Engineering and Science and help them develop valuable life skills: critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, self confidence.
Within the competition participants design, build, program and test an autonomous robot, apply real-world math and science concepts and create innovative solutions to challenges facing today’s scientists
The topic for the current edition is “TRASH TREK” or the journey of the garbage: from collection, to sorting, to smart production and reuse. The participants explored the problems related to trash handling and designed innovative solutions to the issues they have identified.
